Valentines day. A halmark holiday?

I think that the Japanese Valentines day is to an extent much better then the American one. First off based on my previous knowledge of the Japanese V-day is that the girls make their own chocolates and then give it to a guy she likes. I think that this shows more thought in comparison to how we usually just go out and buy chocolates and it seems just give them out to our friends along with the people we like. I would have to disagree on the point the the Japanese students are just doing it because they are being manipulated because they do make chocolates sometimes and also that they don't just give it to all of their friends and acquaintances. I would enjoy participating in the Japanese V-day because then you get to try all different kinds of chocolates. :)
